Come Tear Down The Walls

I was listening to a song, and it says come and tear down the walls I’ve built up cause you deserve every piece of my heart. Won’t you come and breakthrough to me over and over again.

Life can be hard sometimes, and we can find ourselves as the scripture says in the valley at times and on the mountain top at other times. If we aren’t careful, we can find ourselves building walls to protect ourselves from stress, pain, and people but all we do when we build walls around our heart is make our hearts hard and all we are doing is putting walls between us and God. We are cutting ourselves off from him. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart Ephesians 4:18.

However, the song goes on to say come and breakthrough through to me again. I’m trusting that you are faithful father and all that you have it is good. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

God is so faithful to breakthrough to us every time we find ourselves like this, he comes to us and beckons us back to him until he breaks through to us.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. Even though it can leave our hearts in our minds open and vulnerable it leaves us exposed to him and mailable to his spirit so we may experience his joy, his peace, and his love. Let God tear down your walls today and let God soften your heart. Don’t let the world make you hard and uncaring or even bitter and hateful. Give God time in your everyday in prayer or worship or just talk to him. Give him opportunity to minster to you and empty out what gets put into us by the world and let him pour into you what he has so we may go and pour it back out to a generation in need of him and in need of his love. May you be blessed this week and, in the weeks, to come.
