In Him Is No Darkness

Did you know that the Bible says in 1 John 1:5 “…God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” So, if we are in Him and he is in us darkness can try to come on us, but it has no authority over us! Think about it if he is light and he is in me then I too am light. It goes on to say in 1 John 1:6 ” If we say we know Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanses us from all sin.” What is sin? not do’s and do nots of our current religious church age but, unbelief and a lack of faith is all sin is. So, what is darkness? It can be anything doubt, unbelief, depression, lies, sickness, my personal vex fear. Anything that tells you that you are less that what God says you are. These things have no authority over us, but we allow them to speak to us and speak lies to us because we do not know who we are. If he is light you are light! So, no darkness can pierce or overcome you! Only the light can pierce the darkness not the other way around. John 1:5 ” The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” When we start to get that and begin to stand up in who we are and let our light shine as the old children’s song used to say we will see a change not only in our circumstances but the environment around us. If you are lit up, then you will cause others to light up. Don’t let circumstances and the lies of the enemy cause your light to go out! Jesus died for our sins, it was finished on the cross. All he asks us to do is believe in him and he will guide our footsteps and write his commandments on our hearts. Jesus to was tempted in the desert with the lies of darkness but if we know the truth then we can’t be subject to the lie. What is the truth and where is it? It’s the words of Jesus Christ written in the Bible we must arm ourselves with it so when the lies come, we can say get thee behind devil it is written! There is a it is written for all of us in the Bible! We need to arm ourselves with it arm ourselves with the truth!
