You ever feel alone. Like you just don’t fit in no matter how hard you want to or try to, or that people just don’t get you. I’ve been tempted to feel that way and have felt that way several times in my walk especially when times get tough and you feel like no one gets it or understands. I imagine Jesus felt that way leading up to the cross. It was the greatest difficulty he would face in his ministry. He was surrounded by people but seemingly alone in his tribulations. You saw this when he asked the disciples to pray with him and they all feel asleep. Sometimes in different seasons in our life there is no one to walk with us just God. During these times I believe God is doing an internal work in us. In spite of all that he felt God was yet still with Jesus and empowered him to go forth and do what in himself he could not do. I say this to say we are NEVER ALONE. He is always with us the Bible says if we make our bed in hell there he will be also. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. Psalms 139:7-8 NKJV
He also said this in Joshua “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9.
Was he not with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Even though they turned it up seven times hotter the fire did not burn them and when they looked inside there was 4 men in the fire not 3! Don’t let the enemy lie to you. The Bible says “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 You are not alone we may at times find ourselves separated from, others in the flesh but we are NEVER separated from God. It’s in the name. Emmanuel translated means “God is with us”.
Use the time to pour out your love on him all the attention you would give another give him. This to shall pass you will not always be separated but you can come out of that separation with a new wine skin full of new wine. Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
Luke 5:36-38
I always include scripture because there is power in the scriptures. It’s our sword of the spirit our weapon of warfare. When the lies come to our mind the sword of the spirit the truth can cut those lies asunder.
