We all know the verse in the Bible that says be fruitful and multiply but as children of the spirit no longer those of flesh have, we really thought what it could mean. In Galatians 5:22-23 it says, ” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” These are the fruits as children of the Spirit I believe that God is asking us to multiply in this hour. Too often we see people in the Spirit of hell and reproducing those things such as hate, anger, pride, destruction, strife. However, if we will practice the fruits of the spirit then all those who partake of the tree of life that we are will begin to have those fruits of life working on the inside of them. Are you a tree of life today with the life-giving fruits of the spirit working in you? Or are you a tree of sin and death with rotten fruit and those that eat become tainted. It may seem like a simple word but in an hour where people are becoming increasingly more selfish these fruits of the spirit are needed and we must stand up today and be those who have something to offer this generation. Just as Jesus cursed the fig tree for not producing fruit, he’s looking for us to produce fruit so that those who are hungry for more of him can come to us and eat and be refreshed and made new!
